Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher trained through Polestar Pilates | Certified Massage Therapist | Active Release Technique® (ART®) | Functional Range Systems

My approach to health and movement has been shaped by a lifelong pursuit of understanding how the body works, how it adapts, and how we can take greater responsibility for our own health.

My journey began with weight training and bodybuilding as a teenager and eventually led me to the Marine Corps. After sustaining an injury, I began exploring the body from a different perspective, first through massage therapy and later through Chinese medicine and Qigong.

Along the way, I realized that improving health isn't simply about treating a problem after it occurs. It's about developing awareness, building capacity, and learning how to take an active role in caring for your body. That realization even led me to culinary school, where I developed a deeper appreciation for the relationship between nutrition, movement, and overall wellness.

While working in the maritime industry, I continued pursuing my education in movement and manual therapy, becoming trained in Pilates, Active Release Technique®, Functional Range Systems, and other movement-based approaches. My own experiences with injury and recovery have continued to shape the way I work with clients today.

A major turning point in my life came when an MRI following a work-related injury led to a diagnosis of throat cancer. That experience caused me to reevaluate my priorities and ultimately make the decision to leave my career in the Merchant Marine and dedicate myself fully to the wellness and movement profession.

Today, my goal is simple: help people understand their bodies, move with greater confidence, and develop the tools to take ownership of their health.

I believe movement should be practical, sustainable, and adaptable to the individual—not simply a collection of exercises. Whether you're looking to improve mobility, recover from an injury, enhance athletic performance, or simply move better in everyday life, my goal is to help you build a stronger relationship with your body.

I was recently honored to be nominated as a mentor for Polestar Pilates. After taking such a non-linear path as a movement professional, I'm especially grateful for the opportunity to continue learning and to share what I've learned with others.
