Pilates & Mindful Movement Classes to Meet Your Needs. 

Choose from:
Foundation Pilates Classes:  In these Level 1 classes, we work on the movement fundamentals.  This is great for beginners or those who want a more deliberate pace and need to be talked through modifications.

Flow Classes:  These Pilates-based intermediate level classes are more challenging in that they may include more complex movements, move at a faster pace, and require that you have a solid understanding on how to modify for your own body. 

Function:  These include many of our standing and upright classes where we're taking the work back to real life.  Balance, posture, coordination, and strength are what are emphasized.  

Focus & Fix Classes:  These classes take a region of the body, a common issue (keeping knees healthy, low bone density, etc.) and go deeper on "the why" and how to improve.  These classes may sometimes include self-myofascial release techniques.

Women's Health:  Hormones, childbirth (even from years ago), etc. can create new challenges as the body is adapting to change.  These classes play special emphasis on some unique needs, including pelvic floor focus, prenatal classes, and more.

Yoga & Other Mindful Movement Classes:  In addition to Pilates-based classes, we'll have contributions from guest teachers including yoga, tai chi, Qigong, meditation, and more.

Interactive Q&A: These sessions offer more insight into questions you may have around movement, exercise, and general wellbeing.  These often feature guest contributors to add a more holistic approach to movement and health.

BONUS- Oov® Classes:  These classes utilize a unique home home exercise tool that enables you to workout multiple systems in a 3D manner so results are felt immediately. 

BONUS - Apparatus Classes:   For those who have access to studio equipment and props such as reformers, towers, and more, we include an occasional live equipment class with some on-demand options.

BONUS - Teen Classes: Share your membership with your kid who has been glued to their bed since COVID19 watching videos.  We have an on demand library and occasional live classes for those who are young or young at heart.

Calendar of Upcoming Live Classes

Use the "search" feature in this calendar to search on a word like a piece of equipment or the type of class. You can also type the name of a teacher or speaker for our interactive Q&A sessions. Our class schedule does change as we get more requests for various times or formats, but this gives you a good idea of the frequency, times, and types of classes.

 

FAQ'S

Here's a list of some commonly asked questions about this program.

  • Q:  Do I need to have special equipment?  Some of our workouts use props, some do not and actually try to take advantage of what you have lying around the house.  Our bonus workouts include more "substantial" equipment/props (reformer, Oov®, etc).  We'll provide links where we know you can purchase some of these small props online if you would like to participate in more workouts. Usually, all that's required are a mat, resistance bands, a towel, furniture sliders, a small ball that can be inflated/deflated, and a foam roller.
  • Are these workouts safe if I have an injury? Many of our workouts contain a substantial amount of modifications for those who have sustained injuries in the past or who may be working through a current condition where modifications would be appropriate.  While many of us teaching these classes are physical therapists, we are not YOUR physical therapist at THAT time and in the format of a group class.  You should still follow the advice of not starting a new exercise program without first checking in with your physician or personal health care provider for guidance.

  • I'm not tech savvy.  Will this be easy for me to access?  Accessing your materials will be easy as it is all in one place.  Just bookmark your login page and inside, you'll find your on-demand videos, the calendar of classes and the direct Zoom link to our classes. We are in the process of working on an app to make this process even more seamless. 

  • Do you demonstrate the exercises or are you teaching to the class?  We do both.  The majority of the classes the teacher demonstrates the exercises as she is teaching but in our "Eyes on You" classes, we closely watch YOU on the screen as we guide you through the movement experience.
  • Are the classes listed on the current schedule your ONLY live-streaming classes?  No, we often add classes and interactive Q&A sessions throughout the month to give a varied experience.
  • Who are teaching the classes?  Our classes are taught by ProBalance® Studio teachers as well as guest teachers and contributors from the Be Well-Stay Well™ network of teachers who have been approved by the founder, Ada Wells, PT. 
  • What if I want to subscribe in the middle of the month?  You may subscribe at anytime as your selection for a monthly membership is on a 30 day cycle or 365 days for the annual subscription. 
  • What if I need to cancel my subscription?  This is an easy process you can do on your own inside the portal.  Once you cancel, you will not be billed again and your account will remain active until the date that your payment period was set to expired.  Once expired, you will no longer have access to the live classes or on-demand classes inside the Be Well-Stay Well Membership, but you can resubscribe at any time.
